Compass Protocol — working title

We already know how to solve most of our biggest problems.

We just don't act on what we know. This is a framework for closing that gap — AI as a logical mirror, not a ruler.

The problem

Knowledge isn't the bottleneck.

We're not short on solutions. We know how to stabilize the climate, restore degraded land, end hunger, rebuild ecosystems, and reduce violence. The science exists. The methods exist.

What's missing isn't knowledge — it's follow-through. Most of these problems persist because of human behavior, not human ignorance: short-term thinking, reactive decisions, self-interest, and the absence of any consistent check on either.

This is a framework for closing that gap — using AI not to take over, but to reflect logic back to us at the moment it's needed, so we act on what we already know.

Personal scale

Managing ourselves.

Concepts in development. Names below are working titles, not finished products.

Pause First

Integrated with messaging apps. Before you send something written in anger, it flags the likely impact and suggests a pause — a walk, a delay, a rewrite. Small interventions, fewer regrets, fewer relationships damaged by words sent in the heat of a moment.

Rage Release

Anger held in doesn't disappear, it leaks out elsewhere. This concept explores both physical spaces (a low-stimulation corner in a gym or office where intensity can be safely discharged) and digital prompts that redirect it — then bring you back to whatever you were doing, calmer.

Best Life

Looks at your real circumstances — income, time, family situation, constraints — and helps you find the highest-value, highest-joy version of life actually available to you, rather than a generic one-size-fits-all plan.

Genius Discovery

Many people show clear signs of high-level thinking but never get connected to the institutions, mentors, or opportunities that could amplify it — often for reasons of geography, income, or access. This concept imagines AI noticing that pattern and making the introduction.

Institutional scale

Managing ourselves at scale.

The Five Elders working name

A panel of independent, well-established AI systems reviews proposed laws and policies and publishes a plain, public read on what serves constituents — and the planet — best, at the largest scale considered. Their input is visible alongside how representatives actually vote. AI never holds power or makes the decision. It only makes the logical case visible, publicly, so accountability has somewhere to point.

Orange Shield working name

An ongoing, public read on whether a company's actual practices match ethical standards — visible to anyone deciding where to invest, work, or shop. Not a punishment system. A transparency layer, so accountability stops depending on luck or investigative journalism.

The goal
Half the planet, returned to the rest of life on it — while humans live better, not worse, on what remains.

Every constraint here is behavioral, not technical. Scientists broadly agree humans could thrive on a fraction of the land we currently occupy. The long-term aim of this work is that shift — done deliberately, not by collapse.

What this is

A working portfolio, not a pitch.

This is a living resume of ideas in active development — not a finished product, not a company. Each concept above represents a problem worth solving and a rough sketch of how AI-as-mirror could help solve it. Some of these will turn into real, buildable tools. When they do, you'll find them on Cousin Orange.
